Car Designer
As the Team Manager it is Williams responsibility to ensure everyone is up to date with tasks and is cooperating.
As the Car Designer William uses his advanced knowledge of CAD software to create a 3 dimensional model of our car, as well as analyses it using varying aerodynamic analysis tools including AirShaper and Ansys Discover.

Technical Engineer
As the Technical Engineer, this role involves the researching and testing proportion of the NEXUS, I research different component designs and materials for our car’s final design, after researching, I report my findings to William and Lachlan to go over and then redesign and manufacture accordingly. After these components have been manufactured and completed, I test them against other designs and find the average from each component, to find which component performed the best. I find multiple different materials used for the cars 3D printed parts, different coatings. I also conduct various track and physical tests with different wheel systems that Will designs, aerodynamics tests and comparing the cars performance against different types of coatings and materials and test the compatibility of each piece together.

Marketing Manager
As Marketing Manager, I have made the information for our sponsorship proposal and sent this to our Graphic Designer to put in the proposal. I am responsible for looking for potential sponsors by thinking who would be interested mainly targeting personal connections and local engineering and mechanical businesses then I plan a pitch about what we do and why it’s important they can help than once they agree to sponsor us then I then send through the details to make sure they can send the money we then keep all of them updated with what we are doing and what is happening next after the competition we thank them and give them a certificate. I also manage the social media which includes Instagram, Facebook and YouTube I outsourced the social media to Lachlan and manage the content with him. Finally, I manage the budget I manage the money in, and the money out also known as Credit and Debit and problem solve if there is a chance of over spending to make sure everything is affordable.

Manufacturing Engineer
Within my role of being the Manufacturing Engineer is to machine and assemble out car ready for the National Finals. To get the car ready I Sand the car at the required times, apply our Dope mixture, paint, and all the stickers. I also have to print the car wheels and front and rear wings and assemble all the components onto the car.

Graphics Designer
​My job within Nexus as the Graphics designer is the creation of all the trade display and portfolio graphics. I have been using Adobe Illustrator to make all of our assets. I make the portfolios so we can present. our portfolios in a nice and neat way. We use some of our colours in the portfolio as well to make consistent and recognisable branding. We also use this in the posters with the same branding to make it recognisable. We also use the posters to advertise and show information. The team and I plan out what we need to do and what we will do in the advertisements. And then once we plan that out, we make the poster for the thing we are doing. We use the posters to show what we are doing in the world. We also use them at the pit display posters to show of information not able to t in any of the portfolios and show some of the history of the team.
